Kainé does not think that highly of herself. However, she'd likely consider her physical strength, her endurance, and her no-nonsense approach to be her key assets.

⬥ What do others consider to be your character's worst weakness?
In no uncertain terms, her tendency to grow impatient and barrel headlong into trouble.

⬥ How does your character interact with others?
Kainé is frequently aloof and standoffish. She uses coarse, blunt speech and makes no secret that she's trying to distance herself from others, which she believes to be for their own good. However, she does soften when she sees others are hurting or in need of help and her kindness shows through in these times.

⬥ What motivates or drives your character?
For much of her life, the answer to that was simple vengeance and survivor's guilt, because in canon, she lost her only family. Later, she was driven to fight for people whom she grew to love, after they had shown her care and acceptance. Love is, and likely always will be, her greatest source of motivation.

Killing Shades, mostly. But also looking out for someone special.

This is a massive spoiler but she just wanted Nier back and she sure got him back. Now it's to protect him I guess.

Powers:
It's important to first establish that Kainé is a replicant in canon, an artificial human created to serve as a vessel for a disembodied soul (a gestalt) of the original Kainé. Not at all according to plan, Kainé has formed her own sentience and personality distinct from the original. Replicants are, with few exceptions, basically the same as an ordinary human in terms of ability and survival.

Kainé is, unsurprisingly, one of the exceptions. Even in the absence of borrowed power from Tyrann, Kainé is a formidable combatant. Possibly owing to her tendency to go full tilt in a fight, she hits with force enough to damage armored enemies whether swinging a sword or her legs to deliver strikes. She can knock an opponent around her size across a clearing, to give an idea of the force she packs.

In addition to this, Kainé is capable of vertical leaps of great height just as the protagonist is. Without building any momentum prior, she has demonstrated the ability to jump several stories high with little apparent effort shown. With the right means at her disposal, she does know how to wield magic, but cannot do so on her own without a being with inherent access to that power, such as when she was host to Tyrann.

Where less remarkable abilities are concerned, Kainé has ample experience foraging and fending for herself. She's accustomed to living a rough life with limited means, and has no problem locating sources of food or starting a campfire. On top of that, she's hardy in general and not prone to getting sick from bad food.

AU History:
Kainé was born the elder of twin sisters and their parents died in a car accident when they were both very young. They were taken in by their grandmother and raised by her, viewing the woman for all intents and purposes as their only parent. When faced with bullying due to in her terms having a different body from her peers, Kainé was enrolled in martial arts by her grandmother to learn self-defense and gain some confidence.

She grew strong and her mouth grew sharp, and Kainé held herself aloof from others more often than not. Quite by chance she intervened when a boy named Nier was being bullied as she once was, and in so doing, Kainé made herself a lifelong friend. It turned out that the two were neighbors, and they essentially became family as they advanced through high school and moved on to college.

Kainé assists her martial arts instructor after school as a part-time job while pursuing an education in the arts with her grandmother's encouragement. She also keeps an eye out for her neighbor, since his survival skills are critically lacking so far as she's concerned.

Due to not losing her only family or ostracized and consequently not being marinated in self-loathing, Kainé views herself in better terms than in her original reality. Not that she would admit openly, but she considers her protective nature, her strength, and her creativity to be her best qualities.

As with canon, she still has a short fuse, though due to it being a very different world it's likely to be said that she's very obstinate.

⬥ How does your character interact with others?
Similar to her original reality, Kainé remains aloof and quiet around people she doesn't know well. The difference is that this isn't a reflection of her own self-image. Rather, it's a reflection of her feeling like people will generally let her down outside of her immediate circle.

⬥ What motivates or drives your character?
Love is still the greatest motivating factor in her life. Because she has always had family, protecting and ensuring their happiness are driving goals for her; for instance repaying her grandmother for raising her and her sister.

⬥ How does your character spend their free time?
If she's not in school or working, she's making sure Nier isn't doing something incredibly stupid in her perspective. That or spending time with her grandmother and/or sister. She also enjoys drawing.

For her loved ones to be safe and happy, honestly. They're her world in any life.
