Name: Akira Kurusu, sometimes also known as "Joker".
    Canon: Persona 5 (+Royal/Strikers)
    Canon point: Post-Strikers
    Age: 17

    History: From the Wikia.
    Personality:
⬥ What does your character consider to be their top 3 strengths?

Sort of depends on who's asking. He's not one to toot his own horn, but to a stranger he'd claim he's adaptable, a top of the class student, and a very good multi-tasker. To someone who knows him or his circumstances to a higher degree, that would translate to he rolls with unfair punches and eventually doubles back to punch the punches squarely in the nose, he's really good at studying, and he has maintained entirely too many part-time jobs while also maybe saving the world a few times.

⬥ What do others consider to be your character's worst weakness?

He can't not help someone who is suffering in any way. Not his business? Too bad. Gets him a fabricated criminal record? Oh well. No, really, this person doesn't want your help-- suddenly he's hard of hearing and doing it anyway. He's borderline obsessive with being useful.

⬥ How does your character interact with others?

Quietly. He's a teenager, so he does sometimes act an absolute fool, but most of the time he's pretty quiet and observant. He's a touch withdrawn until he has a reason to get to know someone, but as previously mentioned he will drop every hat if someone looks to be in trouble. He has a bizarre teenage shitpost sense of humor, despite being generally quiet (such gems such as running extremely wild with an RPG theme in a jail in Strikers, including lines like "You dare provoke a legend?!") and when under the guise of what amounts to his "rebellious spirit" he is extremely flashy and confident. He always has a sassy option for responses in-game when you are given three choices wherein the responses don't impact the story in a big way, which seems to increase with frequency the longer he dons the mask of Joker (see Powers for more on this).

⬥ What motivates or drives your character?

Justice, mostly. As with the common vein of Persona and specifically Persona protagonists, he leads a ragtag group of teenagers against the injustice of a corrupt society of adults, and fiercely protects that for those who are unable or unwilling to act themselves. To a lesser degree in overtness but not importance to him, his friends and their happiness, nearly to the point that he neglects his own wants and/or needs.

⬥ How does your character spend their free time?

Working entirely too many part-time jobs (seven, to be exact), sometimes saving the world, and frequently forgetting he has homework until completing it keeps him up late. Writing odd lists, silly doodles, and cryptic anecdotes in a diary he was told to keep at the beginning of the game to document his daily activities for his probation officer, a habit he has since kept up to function as the game's plot summary for reference during play.

⬥ What is your character's greatest desire?

So this is where we hit a little bit of a snag-- Akira's desires mostly align with his friends and the other people in his life. He doesn't express much in the way of his own. So one could say that their happiness is his desire, at face-value, but it's a little deeper than that. He'd never say it, and in fact he'd do his utmost to never let anyone realize it, but deep, deep down in Akira's heart of hearts, his greatest desire is to always be useful to the people he holds dear. He doesn't know how to not butt into things and meddle, he doesn't know how to not help, and as a direct result he has little to no concept of how to be idle without doing something, yet he lacks anything specific that he wants to accomplish, so he molds himself into whatever everyone around him needs.

    Powers:

Protag Problems: So there seems to be approximately nothing this kid can't manage to do passably, if not master. He cooks, he makes coffee, he's an excellent student, he memorizes food orders without writing them down, he's fluent in hanakotoba, he's good at shogi, he has the medical fortitude of a rhinoceros, he plays darts and billiards, he has to be taught by a child how to play video games well but he starts out good with daggers and later becomes good with guns. I've not played the Dancing game but he dances in Royal at one point, briefly, so it's easy enough to assume he can dance, literally what can this kid not do I swear to God. A literal jack of all trades, though his specific points of mastery are curry, coffee, and being a confident booger* while wearing a domino mask that has no business looking as good on him as it does. *As mentioned in the field for interacting with others, Akira's "mask" as Joker allows him to behave much more confidently than he typically is without it. As time goes on, the confidence kind of bleeds back into Akira and there isn't as noticeable of a difference between how he behaves in and out of the Metaverse.

Third Eye: Separating this one from Protag Problems because it's a weird specific thing he does that allows him to hone in on key items. This extends to things useful to advance the plot, varying breakable items with things to steal/that are empty (and being able to tell the difference), trails for specific trajectory to get places in a certain order for puzzles, and some form of night vision. How and why does he have this? Just Persona Protag Things.

    Wildcard/Persona Problems: This is basically an extension of Protag Problems and I hate that. Due to being the protagonist of a Persona game, he has this nifty ability to basically house a bunch of monster souls in his head and utilize their powers by swapping between their respective masks. He can carry up to ten at a time (this number varies from Vanilla to Royal to Strikers, but in Strikers it is only ten), swap between them at will, and as their user takes on their strengths, weaknesses and other affinities in battle. For a list of ten to assume he had access to for regain purposes;

→ Arsène: Akira's first Persona and initial awakening. Curse-forward of the Fool Arcana. Inherits/resists Curse, weak to Ice/Bless.
→ Queen Mab: Fire/Ice forward of the Magician Arcana. Inherits/blocks Fire, resists Elec, weak to Wind.
→ Sarasvati: Heal and Buff-forward of the Priestess Arcana. Inherits Heal, blocks Ice, resists Elec, weak to Nuke.
→ King Frost: Ice-forward of the Emperor Arcana (can Summon Jack Frost). Drains Ice, null Bless, weak to Fire.
→ Forneus: Psy-forward of the Hierophant Arcana. Inherits/absorbs Psy, blocks Ice, weak to Elec.
→ Thor: Elec-forward of the Chariot Arcana. Inherits/blocks Elec, resists Phys/Bless/Curse, weak to Wind/Psy.
→ Metatron: Bless/Almighty-forward of the Justice Arcana. Inherits Bless, absorbs Psy/Nuke, blocks Wind, weak to Elec/Curse.
→ Kurama Tengu: Wind-forward of the Hermit Arcana. Inherits/blocks Wind, resists Bless/Curse, weak to Gun/Ice.
→ Orthrus: Nuke-forward of the Hanged Man Arcana. Inherists/resists Nuke, absorbs Fire, weak to Ice.
→ Seth: Phys/Gun-forward of the Tower Arcana. Null Fire, drains Wind, weak to Bless.

    Inventory:

His summer clothes, consisting of a black and white polo, greyish blue jeans, a pair of grey sneakers, and a white and blue bag. The bag would normally contain Morgana, a friend of his who happens to be a cat, but such is not currently the case. He does still have a variety of things in the bag-- specifically, a bunch of trinkets given to him by the rest of the party. This includes a bright red scarf, a pair of gloves to match, a Featherman mask (thanks Ryuji what the heck is he going to do with this), a sketchbook filled with art, a friendship bracelet, a teaspoon, and three keychains-- one of the Phantom Thieves logo, one of a police baton, and a safe family talisman. He's probably also got a collection of items from Sophie's shop, accessories and healing items left over from the world's most eventful road trip.
